Six shot with pellet gun before bus driver intervened

A bus driver stopped a man armed with a pellet rifle from continuing on a shooting rampage in Burnaby Monday afternoon.

“We don’t recommend putting yourself in harm’s way, but he did what he did, and may have stopped a number more people from getting hurt,” said Cpl. Alexandra Mulvihill, of Burnaby RCMP.

TransLink spokesman Drew Snider said the bus driver spotted the attack as he was pulling into a bus stop at Burnaby Mountain Secondary School in the 8800-block Eastlake Drive at 3 p.m.
